P.E.C. Aqua Ball

A very special event in aid of Hollybank is happening in September!

An Aqua Ball will be held at the Aagrah Midpoint, Bradford on Friday 24th September to raise funds to redevelop the lighting and sensory equipment in the hydrotherapy pool.

The event is being organised by P.E.C. Building and Shopfitting of Bradford who have committed to also overseeing the project management of the redevelopment.

Brighten up your day with a little colour!

Staff at Hollybank Trust paid £1 each to dress in unusual colours one day a month!

We are encouraging local companies and schools to join in with our dress down days to help raise awareness and funds for the Trust. Why not organise a raffle too or have a prize for the best or worst dressed?

Hollybank needs to raise funds to continue caring for children, young people and adults with profound disabilities and medical needs. Please help us to give them the lives they deserve.

 

Firewalk!

Would you walk over hot coals for Hollybank?

It may seem like an outrageous ask, but we are encouraging local supporters to muster up the courage to take part in this challenge. Participants will be fully trained on how to walk over the 20 feet of wood embers, burning at an incredible 1,236 degrees Fahrenheit, without pain or injury!

The event will take place a Hollybank on Friday 8th October. A deposit of £25 per head plus minimum sponsorship of £50 per person is required. The event is run by professionals, and is completely safe. Under 16’s may enter with the signed consent of a parent/guardian.

Golf Crazy!

Howley Hall Golf Club, Morley.

This year Hollybank is hosting 3 golf days to raise funds for our children and young people. The annual ‘corporate’ golf day will remain at Huddersfield Golf Club, Fixby, as a four-ball competition with shotgun start, lunch, various competitions and prize presentation dinner in the evening. It will take place on Thursday 17th June, and a team of four costs £450.

The new additions for our golfing supporters to take part in are our fun golf days which will take place at Howley Hall Golf Club in Morley and Bradley Hall Golf Club near Halifax. Each four-ball competition day will follow a staggered starting system from 8.30am, with a buffet lunch served after golf, a number of competitions, prize presentations, and celebrity golfers.

The cost of a team at Howley or Bradley is £300 per team of 4, and the events take place on Tuesday 18th May at Howley Hall, and Thursday 9th September at Bradley Hall. For more information or to book your team please email a.dickinson@hollybanktrust.com.

 

It's a Knockout!

Also in September we are inviting people to take part in our ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition on our grounds at Roe Head, Mirfield. Hosted by the one and only Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin, the fun packed day will consist of teams of 10 people competing for glory on a number of assault courses Fancy dress is optional, but we recommend the wilder the better! The event takes place on Saturday 18th September, and teams must ensure that they can raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 per person (£1,000 per team of ten).
