Introduction to ICAT

The Information, Communication and Assistive Technology department (ICAT) was recently restructured to better reflect the department's varied roles and responsibilities. Hence the department now recognises two main areas of provision, namely 'Information Services' and 'Assistive Technology'.

In short, the Information Services team are responsible for the smooth operation of the Trust's IT infrastructure and desktop computing as well as the telephone and short-range personal radio systems.

The Assistive Technology team support our school and residential services in using a wide range of independence-promoting technologies.

Finally, the Hollybank Trust web site is created and maintained within the ICAT department.
