The eagle eyed among you may have noticed that for the past few years, Hollybank has been

home to a number of bee hives.

Our beekeeper Richard decided that the hives on our main site were looking a little plain and launched a small community project to bring some colour to Hollybank.

He asked local families to get creative and brighten up some new beehives for our honeybees to move into when the warmer weather arrives – and boy, did they deliver!

The project was all completed remotely with Richard dropping off and collecting the beehives.

The colourful beehives will be a great addition to our gardens down in the Meadows and will be lovely for our young people, children, and adults to visit when it’s safe to do so.

Keep your fingers crossed that the bees approve of their new abodes and provide us with lots of honey by way of thanks…
