Hollybank holds its first Trust wide celebration event since 2019

Hollybank residents outdoor session

Hollybank recently held a huge Celebration event and brought together our whole workforce, all of the children, young people and adults we care for and also some of their parents and families.

We had lots of entertainment including live music, Makaton sessions hosted by our internal staff, a selfie stand, alpacas and more.

We wanted to thank our staff for their incredibly hard work throughout COVID-19 and for the personal sacrifices they made. We wanted to give back and bring everybody together, and we did this by celebrating in true Hollybank style.

Our HR team organised two staff recognition sessions and one of the Deputy Lieutenants of West Yorkshire came along to present some of the awards. Everyone had a great day celebrating our staff and their achievements. We also had a formal tree planting for the Queen’s Jubilee, which will now be added to the Queen’s Canopy!

Our Hollybank Trust Celebration Day wasn’t just about the wonderful children, young people and adults that we support. It was also about our staff and thanking them for their incredibly hard work. We had some brilliant entertainment provided by both external companies and individuals and by some of our wonderful internal staff too.

The Makaton sessions were a particular highlight and saw lots of people joining in and even made people emotional. We celebrated in true Hollybank style, and we would deem our first Trust-wide event since 2019, a roaring success!
