Nursery (2-5yrs)

Our nursery caters for children aged 2-5. Our specially trained nursery staff work closely with Locala and a range of other professionals to make sure your child gets the support and care they need.

We also work closely with parents and carers so that your child is prepared for when they move on up to school, either here at Hollybank or their next setting.

All of our nursery children have an education health care plan. The referral process is simple and straightforward. The first step is to get in touch with us directly, or talk to your social worker, community nurse or someone at your local authority.

Once your child has been referred to us, we’ll carry out a multi-disciplinary assessment. This helps us to decide whether we are the right people to meet your child’s needs.

Free nursery places available

We are a government-approved provider of nursery education and are able to offer funded places for children who are aged between two and four. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. Many of our nursery children go on to join our school, but not all of them.

As we currently can’t conduct nursery visits due to Covid, we wanted to create an animation to capture how amazing our super special nursery is and showcase our wonderful facilities in a video. So, along with Browndog, a design agency in Huddersfield who are long-term supporters of the Trust we created this animation and we hope you like it!
